Yuzenen Garden

Ji Eun Won Woo Seon Won is a circuit-style Japanese garden with a pond and a dry landscape garden, located beside the Sanmon gate in the grounds of Chion-in in Kyoto. A tower with a Kannon statue stands in the pond, and the tea rooms Karyo-seki and Hakuju-seki are further inside. The garden was laid out in 1954 to mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of Miyazaki Yuzen, and during autumn evening viewings visitors can join a Buddhist service of about 30 minutes. The garden is small in scale.
