Kenninji is a Buddhist temple in the Gion district of Kyoto. Visitors walk through several Japanese-style gardens, ink paintings on fusuma, and a large dragon painting on the ceiling of the main hall. Shoes must be removed inside, and digital cameras are allowed but photographs of people are not. The fusuma paintings have no English explanations.
