The Romon Gate stands at the south of Yasaka Shrine in Kyoto, directly in front of the main hall, as the shrine's two-story front gate. A stone torii, the Romon Gate, the worship hall, and the main hall are arranged in a straight line. The gate burned down in 1866 and was rebuilt in 1879, then underwent full-scale repairs completed in April 2017. Food stalls are clustered further west of the Romon Gate.
