Kiyomizu-dera Honden is a Buddhist temple main hall in Kyoto, visited together with Sannenzaka and Ninenzaka. It has seven heavy pillars, a smooth wooden floor, and ornate iron lanterns, with views looking out beyond them. Visitors were already present in numbers at 7 a.m., and admission is paid in cash only. There is no control of entry numbers by time slot, so it is crowded.
