The Kawai Kanjiro Memorial Museum in Kyoto opens the house and workshop where the potter Kawai Kanjiro lived and worked near Kiyomizu-dera. Ceramic works, sculptures, calligraphy and old furniture are displayed inside a traditional Japanese wooden house, and a large kiln in the annex can also be seen. The second floor, garden and workshop are entered through inner doors, and a visit takes between 45 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes. A lily sits on the second floor of the house, where cats move freely.
