Ishibe Koji is a narrow stone path lined with traditional wooden machiya and teahouses, located on the route from Gion and Yasaka Shrine toward Kodai-ji in Kyoto. It is quieter than Ninenzaka and Sannenzaka and is a historic residential area where residents live, so visitors must walk quietly. The alley floor is covered with gravel and stones, and photography is prohibited. The path is very short, so it is not worth making a separate trip just to see it.
