Lanthorn Tower is a medieval site in the southern defensive section of the Tower of London, facing the River Thames. Henry III built the tower between 1238 and 1272, and it displays the crown jewels and 13th-century artifacts. Walking the walls and touring the Tower of London takes four to five hours in total, and tickets must be booked online. Queues are long at the main buildings and exhibition spaces, and there are many stairs, so the site is crowded.
