The Royal Air Force Memorial stands on Victoria Embankment across from the London Eye. Its golden eagle and the London Eye framed head-on make it a spot for photographs. Erected in 1923, it honoured the dead of the First World War and later came to commemorate war victims as well. The stone parapet is higher than it looks and climbing it is dangerous, so take your photos from below.
