Kyoto Imperial Palace

Kyotogyosho in central Kyoto is a historic site where visitors walk through the palace and gardens where the emperor lived. The route passes traditional buildings and the Oike Niwa, a circuit-style garden. Entry is free and no reservation is needed; visitors go through a simple bag check and receive a visitor pass. Entry is accepted until 3:20 p.m., and those who arrive later cannot enter.
