Shirakumo Shrine

Shirakumo Shrine sits among quiet forest paths inside Kyoto Gyoen in Kyoto. It enshrines Shikishimahimenomikoto as Myoon Benzaiten and is known as the Benzaiten of the Kyoto Imperial Palace, worshipped as a deity of the biwa and of music and the performing arts. Goshuin are written on the spot and amulets are sold there. The grounds are small, so a visit does not take long.
