Kamishichiken Kabukai

Kamishichiken is a traditional performance venue near Kitano Tenmangu where maiko and geiko perform dances. It hosts the spring Kitano Odori and an autumn performance, and before the show guests can join a maiko tea ceremony with matcha and sweets. Performances are held twice a day at 14:00 and 16:30 and run about 80 minutes, and the venue is a three-minute walk from the bus stop in front of Kitano Tenmangu. The performances are conducted in Japanese, which makes the content difficult to follow.
