Gil Sikdang is a local restaurant in Yeon-dong, Jeju, near the Sinjeju rotary and the back alleys behind the Washington Hotel. It serves jorim and hoe made with gaejuri. The jorim includes radish, potato, meju beans, and garlic stems in a sweet and salty sauce, and is eaten by mixing rice with the sauce and topping it with gaejuri flesh. The restaurant has kept the same taste for over 30 years, and office workers gather there for drinks around quitting time, though the jorim sauce is strongly sweet rather than spicy.
