Haetae Barbecue

Haetae Barbecue in Jeonju is a chicken restaurant that serves one dish: chicken barbecue cooked over charcoal on a stone plate. The chicken is grilled over charcoal first, then simmered with sauce on a cast-iron plate, and the usual way to eat it is to melt cheese into the spicy sauce and mix it with rice. Cheese, udon noodles, and seaweed are bought at the convenience store across the street or nearby marts and combined by each person. The restaurant does not sell bowls of rice, so precooked rice must be brought separately.
