Togetsukyo is a 155-meter bridge over the Katsura River in Arashiyama, Kyoto. The river and mountain ridges are visible at once, and the bridge is walked against cherry blossoms in spring and autumn leaves in fall. It was first built in 836, the current bridge was completed in 1934, and it connects to Chikurin, Tenryuji, and the shopping street. During the day tourists and rickshaws crowd the bridge, and the narrow walkway makes walking or taking photos inconvenient.
