Saga-Arashiyama Station

Saga-Arashiyama Station in Kyoto is the JR station that connects to Arashiyama and the bamboo grove. It is the departure station for the Sagano Scenic Railway and leads to Chikurin, Tenryu-ji, and Hozu River boating. Car 5, an open carriage, sells same-day tickets on a first-come basis starting around 8:30 a.m., and a round trip takes 50 to 60 minutes. Without a reservation, peak season trains sell out and waits run long.
