Arashiyama Bamboo

Arashiyama Bamboo is a bamboo forest park in Arashiyama, Kyoto, where a straight path runs through the bamboo. The grove stays less hot even in July, and it connects on foot to the path toward Togetsukyo Bridge and nearby sights. Arriving around 8 a.m. means fewer people, and walking through takes about 30 minutes to an hour. After noon, crowds make it hard to take photos.
