The National Institutes for Cultural Heritage in Tokyo displays Asian artifacts from Korea, China and elsewhere. Its holdings center on Horyuji treasures, Buddhist statues and Chinese artifacts, while Korean artifacts are shown in the Korean Peninsula exhibition room. The galleries are kept at controlled temperature and humidity with low light levels, and from a chair in the second-floor corridor you can watch raindrops. Visiting after the main building can mean crowds.
