The National Museum of Nature and Science sits near Ueno Station on the Ueno Park side and covers Japan's natural history and science. It is divided into the Japan Gallery and the Global Gallery, and the Global Gallery holds large dinosaur fossils alongside taxidermy animals. Seeing it properly takes about three hours, and the Global Gallery's top floor has a hands-on room. The exhibitions are large in scale, so your legs ache after viewing.
