The National Museum of Western Art is a national museum in Ueno Park, a one-minute walk from the Park Exit of JR Ueno Station. It displays works by Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Picasso and Rodin, and Rodin sculptures also stand outdoors. The building designed by Le Corbusier was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2016, and viewing the permanent collection usually takes about two hours. During special exhibitions, crowds are heavy and visitors wait more than five minutes to see a single work.
