Seoammun (Western Secret Gate)

Seoammun is a gate on the western wall of Suwon Hwaseong on Paldalsan. It is built with a nine-degree turn inward from the wall so it is not easily seen from outside, serving as an emergency entrance. Hwaseong has five such ammun gates, used to bring in military supplies or to pass through when the main gates were closed. From the top of Paldalsan, the view opens out beyond Suwon Hwaseong.
