Namsumun

Namsumun is the south water gate of Suwon Hwaseong, located near Paldalmun. Where Suwoncheon meets the fortress wall, the gate has nine arched water passages and a defensive structure on top of the water gate. The current form was completed in 2012. A path over the water gate and a stone bridge connect the traditional market and the fortress wall, while the stretch between the end of Namsumun and Paldalmun is occupied by several buildings.
