King Jeongjo's Statue

Jeongjo Daewang Dongsang stands on Paldalsan in Suwon. It commemorates King Jeongjo, the 22nd ruler of Joseon, and lies along the route up to Suwon Hwaseong. Nearby murals and explanatory panels show the construction of Suwon Hwaseong and records of Jeongjo’s processions. Suwon’s night view is visible from in front of the statue in the evening.
