Dongbukporu is a fortification structure between Banghwasuryujeong and Dongjangdae on the Suwon Hwaseong city wall. It is a wooden building on a chiseong where soldiers stayed and placed cannons, called Gakgeondae because of the shape of its roof. It was completed on May 15, 1796, and from its higher position it overlooks Dongammun, Bukammun, and Banghwasuryujeong. In spring cherry blossoms bloom inside the wall, and in autumn silver grass spreads widely outside the wall.
