Bukammun is an emergency gate on the north side of Suwon Hwaseong. It is an ammun built deep in the wall so that people and livestock could pass through and military supplies could be moved. Construction was completed on March 27, 1796. It is built of brick, and the walls curve round to connect with the fortress walls on both sides.
