Bongdon is a beacon facility on the eastern wall of Suwon Hwaseong. Five beacon chimneys sit on a brick platform, where smoke carried messages. It was completed in 1796 under King Jeongjo and can be seen directly from Hwaseong Haenggung. The fortress wall path connects Changnyongmun, Dongjangdae and Yeonmudae.
