Domunjip, in front of Sokcho Jungang Market, has served kalguksu (knife-cut noodles) since 1975. Its menu includes cold and hot kalguksu, plus man kalguksu with kimchi mandu; the broth contains potatoes, anchovies, green onions, and shiitake mushrooms. A grandmother from Seoraksan Jungdomun started the restaurant, which uses udon-style noodles. Kongguksu begins in May, and the kimchi mandu is spicy, though the dumpling flavor is disappointing.
