Sinheungsa

Sinheungsa is a Buddhist temple in Seorak-dong, Sokcho. Its main hall, Geungnakbojeon, was first built in 1647 and measures three bays across the front and three bays along the side. It was designated Gangwon-do Tangible Cultural Heritage No. 14 on December 16, 1971, and Buddhist prayers can be offered beneath the seated statue. Construction is underway next to the temple, making the surrounding area cluttered.
