Sokcho Beach is an East Sea swimming beach within walking distance of downtown Sokcho and the Sokcho Bus Terminal. Its white sand stretches about 1.2 km, the Sokcho Eye observation wheel stands alongside it, and a pine forest runs behind the beach. The beach officially opened on July 1, 1976, and has showers, toilets, and a free tube inflation station. During the Seongsu peak season in midsummer, crowds fill the beach and its parking lot.
