Sinheungsa is a Buddhist temple founded in the Silla period at the entrance to Seoraksan in Sokcho. Visitors see the large bronze seated Buddha at the entrance, Daeungjeon and Samsingak, and views of Ulsanbawi and Gwongeumseong. A nearly flat path leads to the temple through a valley and forest, and Ulsanbawi is visible from the grounds. The cable car stops running when strong winds blow.
