The National Mountain Museum near the Bukyangyang Interchange in Sokcho displays mountaineering equipment, climbing history, and Korean mountain literature. Its exhibits cover Korean mountaineering history, and the second floor has an indoor climbing wall. The high-altitude experience room uses nitrogen to lower oxygen levels, simulating 3,000-meter and 5,000-meter environments for three minutes and one minute respectively, and requires a reservation. The exhibition space is small, so viewing it takes about 30 minutes to an hour.
