Ilhwa Seong is a Chinese restaurant run by overseas Chinese behind the Seodaemun District Office, serving ganjjajang, honghap jjamppong, and handmade gunmandu. The ganjjajang is stir-fried to order, and the gunmandu are hand-wrapped with thick skins. It has operated for over 35 years, and after 1 p.m. at lunch it is relatively less crowded, with delivery available. Portions are generally on the small side.
