Suikokaku is a red-brick arched aqueduct located right next to Nanzenji in Kyoto. It was built during the Meiji era to bring water from Lake Biwa to Kyoto. Water flows beneath the aqueduct and a dense forest path continues along it. The path leading up above the aqueduct is not recommended.
