Hosomi Museum is a small museum of Japanese painting and craft northwest of the Higashiyama Nijo intersection in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto. Its exhibitions cover paintings by Ito Jakuchu, Maruyama Okyo and Tawaraya Sotatsu as well as accessories such as combs and hairpins. Visitors view the galleries across three floors by descending a staircase, and a cafe, shop and restaurant sit at the inner end. The galleries cannot be walked in reverse, so use the restroom beforehand.
