Honenin is a small Buddhist temple located between the Philosopher's Path and Jishoji in Kyoto. It has a moss-covered gate roof, a sand mound, and a green moss garden that visitors walk through quietly. A full loop of the grounds takes about 5 to 10 minutes, and entry is free. The temple is small, so there is not enough to see to stay for long.
