Onishi Seiemon Museum is in Kyoto's central Sanjo-dori area and displays kilns and tea utensils used in tea ceremony. It shows kilns made by the Onishi family, whose work has continued for about 400 years since the first Seiemon, and also presents the working methods of kiln craftsmen belonging to the Senke Jushoku, a group of tea ceremony artisans. The second floor holds a reception desk and a tea room with a hearth, while the third-floor exhibition room and three tea rooms on the seventh floor show the history and production process of the kilns along with tea utensils. The number of items on public display is limited.
