Kyoto Seishu Netsuke Kan is a netsuke craft museum located across from Mibudera. It displays contemporary netsuke by artists from Japan, the United Kingdom, Russia and Australia by theme inside an actual Edo-period samurai residence. Visitors take off their shoes at the entrance, photography without flash is permitted, and a viewing takes about 40 minutes. The threshold is about 20 cm high and there are level differences inside, so wheelchair access is difficult.
