Kamo River

Gamogawa is a river flowing near Pontocho Street in Kyoto. Many people sit and rest on both banks, and around sunset they drink beer by the river. In the morning, locals jog or cycle along the river, and you can walk downstream from Kiyomizu-Gojo Station to Gion-Shijo Station. At night, the river is quite dark because there are no streetlights, making it frightening to walk alone.
