Kyoto Station

Kyoto Station is the largest train station in Kyoto, combining department stores and an underground shopping arcade. The Tokaido Shinkansen, JR Haruka, Nara Line, and Sagano Line all pass through it, and the station holds a food court and various shops. The current building, constructed in 1997, has a rooftop garden and the Skyway, an elevated walkway with views of Kyoto Tower. Its large scale means it is always crowded.
