Nishiki Orizuruya

Nishiki Setsu Tsuruya is a cultural experience space next to Nishiki Market in Kyoto that runs kimono rentals alongside tea ceremony and calligraphy classes. Participants choose a kimono color and accessories, have their hair styled, then join a tea ceremony with matcha and sweets. They can walk around Nishiki Market and the surrounding area in the kimono until 6 p.m. Waiting times grow longer when a session is crowded.
