Arashiyama Chikurin is a bamboo forest attraction in Arashiyama, Kyoto, where visitors walk among tall, straight bamboo. The shaded paths offer spots to photograph the bamboo, and the walk stays cool even at midday in midsummer. Mornings are quiet and it gets crowded from around noon. The path connects to the forest trail at the north exit of Tenryuji, and although the site is not large, it becomes packed during the day.
