Buseoksa, a temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism, stands in Yeongju and is a World Cultural Heritage site with Muryangsujeon Hall and views of the Sobaeksan foothills. Muryangsujeon Hall retains baheullim-style columns and traces of old wooden architecture, and Josajeon Hall sits behind the three-story stone pagoda on the right. Visitors walk up a mountain path and an inclined road from the parking lot, and the stairs leading to Muryangsujeon Hall look down over the Sobaeksan foothills. In summer, the uphill climb and steep stairs make reaching the main hall difficult.
