Cheongnyeongpo

Cheongnyeongpo in Yeongwol is a scenic site where King Danjong of Joseon lived in exile. The area is surrounded on three sides by a river and bordered by a cliff on the other, so visitors enter by boat and walk through dense pine forest preserved under civilian access control. Inside, the Eoso, a restored residence of Danjong, along with Nosandae and Manghyangtap remain. When visitors crowd in, the lines for tickets and boat boarding grow long, increasing waiting time.
