Sichuan She Xian Beef Noodle

Sichuan She Xian Beef Noodle is a Chinese noodle shop in Taichung that serves beef noodles and mazhang noodles, a 5- to 7-minute walk from Taichung Station. The hongshao beef noodles come with a choice of noodle thickness, and the thick noodles are chewy like kalguksu. A display of noodle thickness samples is taped up in plastic on one side of the kitchen, and the meal can be paired with stir-fried water spinach and a minced garlic sauce. The shop has air conditioning and a water dispenser, and the shrimp dumplings have thick skins that mask the texture of the shrimp.
