Chowon Salt Grill

Chowon Sogeum Gui is a three-part grill house in the Bangi-dong food alley in Songpa-gu, Seoul, cooking Hanwoo special cuts with scallops and aged kimchi. The spread includes chadolbagi, upjin, chima, jebichuri and buchesal alongside kijogae scallops and aged kimchi from Haenam, eaten by laying onion, garlic and scallion on the grill and dipping in salt or oil sauce. It opens at 4 p.m. and closes at midnight, staying open until 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, with a large indoor space and outdoor seating. Waits run long, so book through Naver or arrive before 6 p.m.
