Hyeonguksa is a Buddhist temple in Takadanobaba, a five-minute walk from Takadanobaba Station and next to Shinjuku Suwa Shrine. It enshrines the main image Muryangsu Amitayeorae and Byeonjaecheon, and the grounds include a Byeonjaecheon hall with a large crystal and flowing water. Goshuin come in two kinds, for the main image and for Byeonjaecheon, and receiving one written by hand takes about ten minutes while you wait on a sofa. The cemetery and the main hall are separate, so following only a map makes the route hard to find.
