Kyoto ddd gallery is on the third floor of a mixed-use building near Shijo Station in Kyoto, set back from the main floor area. It holds exhibitions of graphic design and illustration, and its permanent section includes a high-resolution reproduction of Nagasawa Rosetsu's dragon painting. Programming such as the Soul Steinberg and Felix Beltran exhibitions gives the gallery a clear design-archive character. A cinema and an art shop occupy the same floor, and the gallery is easy to reach by public transport, though the exhibition rooms are small and limit large-scale shows.
