Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station

Kyotokawaramachi is the terminal station of the Hankyu Kyoto Line, which runs from Osaka into Kyoto, and sits in the middle of Kyoto's shopping district near Gion Shijo. The Hankyu Kyoto Line limited express and the Kyo Train Garaku both stop here, and the surrounding alleys hold many yatai selling takoyaki, yakisoba and chocobana. A Kyoto Bus One Day Pass can be bought at the north gate ticket area, and on first use the card is inserted into the slot on alighting so the date is printed on it. The station is busy and has no proper place to leave suitcases, so it is hard to board a train while leaving luggage behind.
