Lee Jeonghee Tteokbokki

Ijeonghui Tteokbokki is a snack shop in Namgajwa-dong near Myongji University that has been open for over 30 years, serving thin, long wheat-flour tteokbokki, fried items, and jjolmyeon. The sauce is spicy, sweet, and thick, and it soaks into the rice cakes; fried items are refried to order or tossed in the tteokbokki broth. The shop began as a cart, and waits of more than ten minutes are common during busy hours. The squid fries are chewy and the batter is thick.
