Daemyeong Kkogi

Daemyeong Kkogi is an old grill house across from Changcheon Church in Seoul's university district, serving samgyeopsal and doenjang samgyeop. It brings thick frozen pork belly with daetongju and also takes orders for old-fashioned lunchboxes. The meat is grilled on foil, and the pork fat is rubbed on first so it does not stick, with doenjang jjigae available on the side. In March, the start of the school term, the place gets loud with opening-party customers.
