Chaidan is a Chinese restaurant in a residential alley of Hongje-dong in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, serving dishes such as tangsuyuk, gunmandu and jjajangmyeon. The tangsuyuk comes with the sauce on the side, thick pieces of meat and a mild cinnamon sauce that is not sweet, while the gunmandu is grilled rather than fried. The gunmandu is hand-made every morning, and the interior is set up like a home. The filling of the gunmandu holds plenty of pickled cabbage, which can divide opinion.
